Thibault Ducroux is the son of a winemaker and his passion comes from there. He learned the basics of the trade alongside his father. However, he does not stop there and quickly wishes to understand more about the soil, wine, nature. Direction the BTS quickly-oeno in St-Jean d´arrières (69). At the same period he discovered the writings of Jules Chauvet (father of "nature" oenology) which challenged him and ended up convincing him that there were other possible ways. With his pilgrim's stick in hand, he sets off to meet Jean Claude Lapalu, Michel Guignier, Valentin Morel (Jura) and Isabelle and Bruno Perraud (Vauxrenard). Straight out of his BTS, Thibault Ducroux, leaves to work at Julien Sunier where he learns how to work the soil, the vine all in ORGANIC then to vinify “natural” wines. At the same time, Thibault Ducroux bought 1.25ha in the Beaujolais appellation which he obviously cultivates in organic (vines in conversion). His first wine "En Roue Libre" was born on the 2019 vintage. From 2020, 5 hectares in rental are worked on the appellations of Morgon and Fleurie.

Thibault Ducroux est fils de vigneron et sa passion vient de là. Il apprend les bases du métier aux côtés de son père. Cependant il ne s’arrête pas là et souhaite rapidement en comprendre plus sur les sols, le vin, la nature. Direction le BTS vite-oeno à St-Jean d’arrières (69).

A la même période il découvre les écrits de Jules Chauvet (père de l’oenologie « nature ») qui l’interpellent et finissent de le convaincre qu’il y a d’autres voies possibles.

Son bâton de pèlerin en main, il part à la rencontre de Jean Claude Lapalu, Michel Guignier, Valentin Morel (Jura) et Isabelle et Bruno Perraud (Vauxrenard). Tout droit sorti de son BTS, Thibault Ducroux, part travailler chez Julien Sunier où il apprend le travail des sols, de la vigne le tout en BIO puis à vinifier des vins « nature ».

En parallèle, Thibault Ducroux achète 1,25ha en appellation Beaujolais qu’il cultive évidemment en Bio (vignes en conversion). Son premier vin « En roue Libre » voit le jour sur le millésime 2019. A partir de 2020, 5ha en fermage sont travaillés sur les appellations de Morgon et Fleurie.
