The company is located in Loreto Aprutino (Abruzzo), halfway road between the largest glacier southern Europe and the Adriatic Sea. Viticulture and olive growing have been documented here since the 9th century. In addition to the vine and olive tree, we grow cereals, legumes, herbs and vegetables. We raise cows and bees. We are therefore farmers even before being winemakers.
We have been working in biodynamics since the arrival of the last generation on the company (2009), trying to increase the fertility and vitality of the soils, experiencing the cyclical flow of nature. The company is entirely certified ICEA (organic) and Agri.Bio and Renaissance des Appellations (biodynamic).
Our family is guardian of this natural heritage since 1785. We try to do our best, working the soil, safeguarding the energies of the cosmos and the earth and producing by hand without any interference.
We became farmers by choice and not by obligation, out of love for this territory and out of awareness that through agriculture you can undertake a profound human evolutionary journey.
We experience the company, the people who live it, as acommunity. of destiny, in which the conscious soul of both the people who live it with their work and the place can develop.
For us, wine, like all the foods we produce, must be alive. Even in the transformation of products, we do not allow any interference.
Working in this way allows us to be in harmony and in community with other producers, with whom we share training and commercial paths.
The vineyard, all espalier, occupies 17 hectares at an altitude of 280-320 meters above sea level.
Ours is an ancient and completely traditional cellar. It is mostly located underground and with stone walls.
We don't use any modern technology and our work is deeply artisanal.
We love the contact of our hands with the fruit, the juice and the wine.
The fermentations are completely spontaneous, in the sense that we do not use selected yeasts, bacteria or enzymes and we do not control the temperatures of the fermentations.
We do not clarify the musts, nor we stabilize the wines. We never filter.
We only use wooden and concrete barrels, both for fermentation and for refinement.
In this way we produce on average 75,000 bottles of wine with our Montepulciano grapes (from which the rosés and reds are made), Pecorino, Trebbiano and Chardonnay (arrived in our company in 1926),
We also produce extra virgin olive oil, chickpeas, wheat, flour, pasta, vegetables and other land products.
No orange wines at the moment.
No sparkling wines at the moment.
