We are a young, eco-friendly company (we have photovoltaics, a well for water autonomy and a thermo fireplace for heating) family-run, all made up of women, Silvia and Lisa specifically. We are located in the upper Lazio, in Montefiascone, at 436 meters above sea level. Our company covers an area for a total of 38.3 ha divided into vineyards for the production of quality wine (4.40 ha), woods (11.5 ha approx) and the remaining green forage (21.1 ha approx); On the vineyard area, 4.4 ha of grapes were regularly planted, distributed between Trebbiano Toscano (50%), Trebbiano Giallo (called Rossetto 40%) and Malvasia Lunga Toscana (10%). During the 2019 vintage, the first vinification was made for a production of 2500 bottles. We produce various wines all in very small quantities, if for 2019 we have released 5 types of wines, in this new 2020 harvest we are also giving life to other types of wine. We like to experiment a lot in the cellar, but at the same time during the vinification we try to leave the wine the possibility of expressing the characteristics of the territory to the maximum. We work with indigenous yeasts, using the fermentation foot to improve the winemaking process, we do not use oenological additives and we want to add very little sulfur (the wine that contains the most has 40mg / l) In the vineyard we fertilize with manure and green manure, and we treat with sulfur, copper and zeolite. The management is entirely ours from the pruning where we use the Simonit & Sirch method to the harvest, where we collect in small boxes and vinify within the day to allow the grapes to arrive fresh in the cellar. We have many projects in mind to carry out among which we dream of putting bees near our forest and planting olive trees. We strongly believe in returning to a less complex and dynamic life, and in restoring some traditions as well as in doing things more "slowly". Aware of this, we carry out this choice day by day. (we live and work in Rome and we go back and forth to carry this project forward). We have chosen Poggio Bbaranèllo as a name because we are on a beautiful hill overlooking Montefiascone on one side and the sea and the Argentario in the distance on the other. Bbaranèllo is in dialect the wind that blows from the north, our hill is so windy that it is sometimes impossible to stay there.

Siamo una giovane realtà, eco-compatibile (abbiamo fotovoltaico, pozzo per autonomia idrica e termo camino per il riscaldamento) a gestione famigliare tutta formata da donne, Silvia e Lisa nello specifico. Ci troviamo nell'alto Lazio, a Montefiascone, a 436 metri di altitudine.

La nostra azienda copre una superficie per un totale di 38.3 ha suddivisi in vigneto per la produzione di vino di qualità (4.40 ha), bosco (11.5 ha ca) e i restanti a foraggio verde (21.1 ha ca);

Sulla superficie vitata, sono stati regolarmente impiantati 4.4 ha di uve distribuite  tra Trebbiano Toscano (50%), Trebbiano Giallo (detto Rossetto 40%) e Malvasia Lunga Toscana (10%). Durante l’annata 2019, è stata operata la prima vinificazione per una produzione di 2500 bottiglie.

Produciamo diversi vini tutti  in piccolissime  quantità, se per la 2019 abbiamo fatto uscire 5 tipologia di vini, in questa nuova vendemmia 2020 stiamo dando vita anche ad altre tipologie di vino.

Ci piace sperimentare molto in cantina, ma al contempo durante la vinificazione cerchiamo di lasciare al vino la possibilità di esprimere al massimo le caratteristiche del territorio. Lavoriamo con lieviti indigeni, usando il piede di fermentazione per migliorare il processo di vinificazione, non usiamo additivi enologici e teniamo ad aggiungere pochissima solforosa ( il vino che ne contiene di più ha 40mg/l)

In vigna concimiamo con letame e con sovescio, e trattiamo con zolfo rame e zeolite. La gestione è totalmente nostra dalla potatura dove usiamo il metodo Simonit&Sirch alla vendemmia, dove raccogliamo in piccole cassette e vinifichiamo in giornata per permettere alle uve di arrivare fresche in cantina.

Abbiamo molti progetti in mente da portare avanti tra cui sogniamo di mettere le api vicino al nostro bosco ed impiantare degli olivi.

Crediamo molto nel ritorno a una vita meno complessa e dinamica, e al ripristino di alcune tradizioni così come nel fare le cose con più “lentezza”. Consci di questo portiamo avanti questa scelta giorno per giorno. ( viviamo e lavoriamo a Roma e facciamo avanti indietro per portare avanti questo progetto).

Come nome abbiamo scelto Poggio Bbaranèllo perchè siamo su un bel poggio che da un lato guarda a Montefiascone e dall'altro mira il mare e all'Argentario in lontananza. Bbaranèllo è in dialetto il vento che tira dal nord, il nostro poggio è così ventoso che a volte è impossibile starci.
