The Nature: The La Natural project was born in May 2017 with the idea of publicizing some natural wine projects from Rosselló (south of France) in Catalonia. Leading the project is Rafa Camps who immediately has the need to produce his own wine. This is how a Negoce system project begins in which he buys the grapes and vinifies them in a space rented from an ecological winery in the Empordà: Espelt. Since then he has produced 3 wines following this system. In 2019 they rented the first vineyard, and in 2021 Rafa relies on his sister Sara, an agroecological farmer dedicated to the orchard since 2001, and it is she who begins to work the vineyard. Since 2022 La Natural has had its own winery, in Ventalló, and Sara receives mentoring from winemaker Marta Arenas. And that same year the vinifications begin in this winery. Since the beginning, 2017, the vinified wines are produced from organic grapes (with and without certificate), spontaneous fermentations without selecting yeasts, without adding sulfur at any time in the process, without adding oenological elements: it does not acidify, it does not clarify, and without filtering before bottling. Likewise, pruning, harvesting and bottling follow the lunar calendar based on biodynamics, and work in the vineyard follows organic farming practices and homeopathic treatments, as well as some regenerative agriculture practices in the Foixa vineyard. . The Ventalló Winery: Since 2022, La Natural has rented this winery to the organic oil producers Oli de Ventalló. The winery measures approximately 50 square meters and has 5 tanks of 2,000 liters each, and we also have 2 tanks of 1,000 liters and 1 of 500 liters. All deposits are stainless steel. Only La Natural vinifies in this winery.
