The Barracco Francesca farm has vineyards and olive groves in Mazara del Vallo, in the province of Trapani, while the administrative headquarters are in Palermo. The grape varieties present are: ansonica or insolia, common white catarratto, chardonnay, grillo, Tuscan Trebbiano, Nero d'Avola, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon. The age of the vines varies from a few years up to about 50 of the older ones, which make up most of the vineyard. The company has been under organic farming since the early 90s. Historically, the company was born from the union of two families, Maiale and Barracco, from which the properties of the Contrada Minneno and Roccazzo derive respectively. Since the early nineteenth century, the Maiale family produced wine and above all Marsala "garibaldi" quality. However, the winemaking activity was interrupted in the early 1900s, and the grapes produced began to be entirely transferred to the cooperative cellars from then on. To date, the company is managed by Mrs. Francesca Barracco together with her three grandchildren Laura, Franco and Silvia Barracco, all co-owners of the land and managed by Roberto Bruno, son of Mrs. Francesca. The latter in 2012 moved from Milan, where he practiced as a business lawyer, to Palermo to take care of the family's vineyards. The passion for wine leads Roberto to meditate on resuming the ancient family tradition of winemaking. The idea of producing the first "Barracco" wine was born in 2016 when Roberto Bruno came into contact with the world of natural wine, being fascinated by it and collaborating with the agronomist Ennio Gugliotta, current consultant of the company. And this is how we return to manually perform each phase of cultivation, from pruning to harvesting and during winemaking, we refrain from using any chemical substance, relying exclusively on attention and care during fermentation and the subsequent phases of transformation of grapes into wine. The product obtained is, therefore, a natural wine, a typical expression of a territory, the result of a careful selection of the vineyards, derived from the spontaneous fermentation of the selected grapes without any type of addition of chemical substances, in full respect of nature and the vineyard. and, at the same time, of the consumer, as the producer wants. The Barracco farm is part of the VinNatur association.

L’azienda agricola Barracco Francesca ha vigneto ed uliveto a Mazara del Vallo, in provincia di Trapani, mentre la sede amministrativa è a Palermo.
Le varietà di uva presenti sono: ansonica o insolia, catarratto bianco comune, chardonnay, grillo, trebbiano toscano, nero d’avola, merlot e cabernet sauvignon.
L’età delle vigne varia da pochi anni fino ai 50 circa di quelle più vecchie, che costituiscono la maggior parte del vigneto. L’azienda fin dai primi anni 90 è in regime biologico.
Storicamente, l’azienda nasce dall’unione di due famiglie, Maiale e Barracco, da cui derivano le proprietà rispettivamente della Contrada Minneno e Roccazzo. La famiglia Maiale fin dai primi dell’ottocento produceva vino e soprattutto il Marsala qualità “garibaldi”. Tuttavia, l’attività di vinificazione si interrompe ai primi del 900, e le uve prodotte iniziano da allora ad essere interamente conferite alle cantine sociali.
Ad oggi l’azienda è amministrata dalla signora Francesca Barracco unitamente ad i suoi tre nipoti Laura, Franco e Silvia Barracco, tutti comproprietari dei terreni e gestita da Roberto Bruno, figlio della signora Francesca. Quest’ultimo nel 2012 si trasferisce da Milano, dove esercitava la professione di avvocato d’affari, a Palermo per occuparsi dei vigneti di famiglia. La passione per il vino conduce Roberto a meditare di riprendere l’antica tradizione familiare di vinificazione.
L’idea di produrre il primo vino “Barracco” nasce nel 2016 nel momento in cui Roberto Bruno viene a contatto col mondo del vino naturale, rimanendone affascinato e nasce la collaborazione con l’agronomo Ennio Gugliotta, attuale consulente dell’azienda.
Ed è così si ritorna ad eseguire manualmente ogni fase della coltivazione, dalla potatura a alla vendemmia e durante la vinificazione, ci si astiene dall’utilizzo di qualunque sostanza chimica, affidandosi esclusivamente all’attenzione ed alla cura durante la fermentazione e le successive fasi della trasformazione dell’uva in vino. 
Il prodotto ottenuto è, quindi, un vino naturale, espressione tipica di un territorio, frutto di un’accurata selezione delle vigne, derivato dalla fermentazione spontanea delle uve prescelte senza nessun tipo di addizione di sostanze chimiche, nel pieno rispetto della natura e della vigna e, nel contempo, del consumatore, così come vuole il produttore.
