The Pesce Lucia Agricultural Company aims to take care of the land it owns in the Spotorno countryside, in Liguria.
He has the initial objective of cultivating his own vegetable garden for family self-consumption and raising small domestic animals.
It follows the development of the vineyards and olive groves for the production of quality wine and oil, primarily for self-consumption and then for sale in our restaurant business. On the agricultural side we listen to the rhythm of nature and the seasons, we use organic fertilizer, copper and sulphur. We practice green manure (broad beans, mustard) and let the grass grow to keep the cultivated soil wetter. In the cellar, fermentations start spontaneously without temperature control and, after racking, the wines mature in steel and glass until early spring. Whenever possible, we do not add sulfites to the wine before bottling.
The olives are taken to the trusted oil mill, where the oil is cold extracted and then deposited and matured in steel barrels.
In agriculture we behave slowly, in a reasoned manner and following seasonality, with manual practices without large machinery.
The Pesce Lucia Agricultural Enterprise is futuristic because it aims to recover ancient strips and walls that have no longer been in use for years, it aims to produce genuine, territorial and quality materials. It aims to become increasingly eco-sustainable, close and sensitive to domestic and wild animals, restoring an identity to the territory.
