In the heart of Bugey, nestled at the end of the valleys, lies Chateau des Eclaz situated in the little village of Cheingnieu la Balme. Nestled beneath the cru of Manicle, the various parcels of once-abandoned vineyards were replanted in 2017, 2018, and 2020 utilizing the Guyot method. Before the grapes begin to ripen, the cycle en vert is an entirely manual endeavor, with the exception of the soil being tilled by tractor. For our treatments, we exclusively employ the bouillie bordelaise method, tailored to suit the climate. We are dedicated to respecting nature in our fields and minimizing intervention in the cellar, for the pursuit of the purest representation of the terroir.
