We are a domain that started in 1991 making sparkling and still wines in Belgium with Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Pinot Meunier and Sauvignon Blanc. As this was originally a hobby and the wines were only enjoyed by friends and family, we have always worked as naturally as possible. After all, you're not going to poison your own family and friends. We don't use herbicides, insecticides and only sulphur and copper in the vineyard. Our focus is on plant-strengthening preparations, regenerative agriculture and biodiversity. Hand-picked, natural fermentation, no additives, no filtering, fermentations in stainless steel/oak vats/amphores/minimal sulphur when needed. In addition to our wines, we have been making ciders with local high stem apples infused with herbs, hops or grapes since 2008. We are not part of an appellation nor do we have organic/demeter certification. We sell all our wines as 'Belgian wine' as the appellations in our region are incoherent and limiting. We invite all our customers to our estate to show and experience our way of working, thus spreading our values and standards better than through a label. Also, the cost of certification + the too extensive authorised list of additives in organic farming are two reasons not to apply for it.
