Casa Masas is located in Mirambel, a small town in the Maestrazgo region in the province of Teruel. We cultivate 10 different small vineyards that make up a total of 2.5 Ha, with which we produce a maximum of 5,000 bot. All of them are old vineyards planted between the 30s and 40s of the last century, located between 750 and 1000 meters above sea level. We grow our vines organically using only a little bit of sulfur and copper. We are transforming our soils by implanting plant covers in a natural way. All our wines are made from only grapes from the vineyards we cultivate, without adding any type of additive, 100% fermented grapes. Obviously the harvest is done manually in boxes of about 12 kg. Once in the winery, the grapes are destemmed but not crushed. We try to keep the skins as intact as possible to be able to carry out long macerations, from 20 to 40 days, depending on the wine we want to make and the vintage. During the second winter we take the wines outside the cellar so that they precipitate naturally thanks to the cold weather in our region. Afterwards, once they return to the interior of the winery, they are bottled with a minimum rest of 16 months.
