The Calabrese Giuseppe farm was born in Saracena, a small village at the foot of the Pollino National Park, in the province of Cosenza. Giuseppe Calabrese, farmer and producer, as well as owner of the company, has been taking care of its 12 hectares, 4 of which are vineyards and the rest divided between woods and olive groves, since 2007, the year the company was founded. Having acquired the passion for the land, to cultivate it with care and in the traditional way, from his grandmother Peppina, Giuseppe began by selling the grapes to third parties and then moved on in 2013 to labeling his first bottle. The 2013 red, obtained from 100% Magliocco, is obtained from a 50-year-old vineyard. In its production there is Moscato di Saracena, a passito moscato that follows an ancient recipe of village rationality. To date, the company's production boasts around 10,000 bottles of red, white, rosé and Moscato di Saracena.
