I was born and raised in Guardia Sanframondi, a town nestled on the hills of the Sannio Benevento renowned throughout Italy for its wines, and after a period of life in the city I decided to return home. The call of the land and of what has always been a great passion of my family is too strong: cultivating the vine, making good wine from it, and sharing it with our loved ones. It was an exciting choice. Under the banner of the relaunch, because I decided to transform this "legacy" into a real job, but also of a further return to the origins, because I wanted to imagine and then produce a young but rich wine at the same time of the best teachings of past. First of all, I therefore chose to focus exclusively on 2 native vines of our territory, Falanghina and Barbera del Sannio, and for the cultivation and production methods I have focused on new techniques that are not afraid to recover the wisdom of the past. This translates into the total absence of chemical fertilizers, herbicides and synthetic treatments in the vineyard, and no use of selected yeasts, oenological products and control of the fermentation temperature in the cellar. Only copper and sulfur on the plants, fertilization through green manure where necessary, and minimum doses of sulfur in the cellar, because I think my wines must bear the signs of the seasons that gave birth to them, and speak a unique language year after year, never domesticated. Falanghina is already in production with the name “Campo di Mandrie”, while for Barbera it still takes a few months of quivering waiting.
