My name is Giovanni Frapporti and together with my father Mario I cultivate the family vineyards on the terraces of Vallagarina, precisely in Isera in the province of Trento. Our company is called Vignali Varas like my father, who for years cultivated the vineyard, selling his grapes to Isera cellar and the Ferrari Trento cellars. After studying oenology, and having traveled and worked here and there around the world, I chose to return to the company and start making wine from my best vineyards (about one and a half hectares). A few years ago I started to become passionate about the world of wine natural. I therefore decided to start rethinking work in the vineyard by completely eliminating the use of herbicides and systemic products. Defense in the vineyard is managed with copper and sulfur, trying to intervene in a reasoned manner. So I decided over 6 years ago to start planting ancient native vines known for their rusticity, resistance and strong adaptation to the territory, this allows treatments to be significantly reduced during the production season. We currently produce two red wines obtained from the union of 3 native varieties of Vallagarina: Marzemino, Enantio and Casetta. The first vintage currently on the market is 2021 of which I produced 2400 bottles. The fermentation of the grapes occurs spontaneously and without the use of sulphites during winemaking. After about a year and a half, the wine is bottled without being filtered. To date we do not have any certification.

Mi chiamo Giovanni Frapporti ed insieme a mio padre Mario coltivo i vigneti di famiglia sui terrazzamenti della Vallagarina, precisamente ad Isera in provincia di Trento. La nostra azienda si chiama Vignali Varas come mio padre, che per anni ha coltivato la vigna vendendo le proprie uve alla
cantina di Isera e alle cantine Ferrari Trento. Dopo aver studiato enologia, ed aver viaggiato e lavorato qua e la per il mondo, ho scelto di tornare in azienda e iniziare a vinificare i miei miglior vigneti (circa un ettaro e mezzo). Da qualche anno ho iniziato ad appassionarmi al mondo del vino
naturale. Ho deciso quindi di iniziare a ripensare il lavoro in vigna eliminando completamente l’utilizzo di diserbanti e di prodotti sistemici. La difesa in vigna viene gestita con rame e zolfo, cercando di intervenire in maniera ragionata. 
Ho deciso quindi oltre 6 anni fa di iniziare a piantare
antichi vitigni autoctoni noti per la loro rusticità, resistenza e un forte adattamento al territorio, ciò consente di ridurre notevolmente i trattamenti durante la stagione produttiva.
Attualmente produciamo due vini rossi ottenuti dall’ unione di 3 varietà autoctone della Vallagarina: Marzemino, Enantio e Casetta. La prima annata attualmente sul mercato è la 2021 di cui ho prodotto 2400 bottiglie. 
La fermentazione delle uve avviene in maniera spontanea e senza l’utilizzo di solfiti durante la vinificazione. Il vino dopo circa un anno e mezzo viene imbottigliato senza essere filtrato. Ad oggi non siamo in possesso di nessuna certificazione.
