At Sans Wine Co., we source organically grown grapes from old vine vineyards in Lake, Mendocino and Napa Counties. Our wines are made naturally and are produced in the Napa Valley. All of our wines are certified vegan, contain no added sulfites and are fermented dry, with no residual (or added) sugar. We're the first producer of single vineyard, variety and vintage specific wines packaged in cans! Sans Wine Co. is a collaboration between husband and wife, Jake Stover and Gina Schober. Their preference for fresh, vibrant and approachable “wines of place” paved the way for what is now Sans Wine Co. The philosophy behind Sans Wine Co. is sourcing and farming premium wine grapes from organically farmed vineyards and environmentally conscience growers in order to craft natural wines, packaged in cans. They source from vineyards where the vines date back to the 1940s and farm two of the Napa vineyard properties in-house. Their wines are certified vegan and they are the only canned wine producer making single vineyard wines, from organically farmed grapes and make naturally, in the Napa Valley. Jake Stover, originally from Kansas and University of Kansas alum, on the advice of his older brother, postponed applying to law school in order to intern at a Napa winery for the 2008 harvest. Jake worked for both conventional and organic wine growers over the years, which lead to his focus on “beyond organic” wine growing. He started his own farming company in 2014, Stover Vineyard Management, emphasizing on no pesticide use in the vineyard and dry farming. Gina Schober is a Bay Area, California native. Her grandfather was a grape grower in Lake County for 30 years. Gina’s passion for wine began while working in restaurant hospitality, where she worked as a manager and sommelier. She became a Certified Sommelier through the Court of Master Sommeliers in 2010 and eventually moved to the Napa Valley, to work for the Thomas Keller Restaurant Group. Today, she is the Napa sales rep for a Northern California wine broker, while simultaneously running the everyday operations, sales and distribution of Sans Wine Co.
