Our first vines were planted in 2017 on a beautiful piece of land at the lake Bauernsee in Dobbrikow - a small village quite close to Berlin and Potsdam.
Since 2020 we've invested with the help of our crowdfunding Platform heavily in new vineyards in and around Dobbrikow. We've grown to 0.8 hectars, populated with a mix of grape varieties. 20% grapes from medieval times (such as Altfränkisch), 20% regular types (such as Pinot Blanc) and 60% new grapes (such as Souvignier Gris).
All vineyards are designed as non monoculture fields (Agroforst). A small herd of sheeps is providing us with organic fertilizer.
The vinery is located next to our wedding venue Haus am Bauernsee and we share premises for wine events. We do manage our vineyard biodynamically, though we do not have any certifications yet.
In cellar, the fermentation are spontaneous, no interventions, no sulfur. We use steal tank and a bit of wood barrels (so far only for the red wine). One wine has done its fermentation in the 1000l Georgian clay vessel (Qvevri) another wine has seen some contact with local pine wood.
No rose wines at the moment.
