We are David and Matthew. Born in the Asti area but adopted by the Roero. Winemakers between Roero and Asti, with a vineyard here and a plot there, still looking for a fixed cellar, but with the desire to vinify only the typical grapes of both territories and enhance their stylistic differences. After working in other wineries, we followed the desire to invest in something personal. The adventure was born in 2013, from the 4 rows near the house the first vinifications labeled as Ca'd'Talün 'wine not for sale, I drink it all with friends' In 2021, ready and mature to start this adventure together, we rent our first vineyard in Vezza D'alba and then buy part of it in March 2022. A vineyard recovered from almost abandonment that will allow us to be able to produce our Roero Bianco and Roero Rosso Docg. The logo evokes Casa Tallone, the summer residence of Cesare Tallone, a painter and artist active in the second half of the 19th century. Currently the house is registered in the land registry as 'Cascina Tallone' and since 1934 our family acquired ownership of the estate and has been locally called 'Ti it ses Talun'. The brush strokes of the logo represent those famous 4 rows from which it all began. We don't make wine with a fixed recipe, we try to spend more time in the vineyard to better understand it. We taste the bunches following their stage of maturation and we also do several harvests in the same vineyard. For the vinification we use cement tanks, sought after and restored over time and old barriques recovered from friendly companies. Fermentations with indigenous yeasts starting from a pied de cuve from grapes harvested a few days before the harvest.
