Our wines are made of the old species of grapes grown in the vineyards of Tklapivake. Tklapivake – a village in Imereti (western part of Georgia); Zestaponi municipality (12 kilometers from Zestaponi), situated in the river Budja (Kvirila pond). Our vineyards are cultivated through 180 meter from the sea level. We cultivate the vineyard only with biologically pure preparations. The amount of copper applied per 1 hectare does not exceed 5 kg per year. Green work is done by hand as well as vintage. We don’t extinct weeds with herbicides, we just mow and leave them in the vineyard, which protects the soil from very high temperatures and drying out. It also enriches it. As for the varieties: at this stage we produce three varieties of grapes - Otskhanuri Sapere, Tsolikouri and Tsitska. Otskhanuri Sapere means “Otskhana’s colorful.” Otskhana is a village in western Georgia. One of the oldest Georgian varieties, Otskhanuri Sapere grows only in the western part of the country, mostly in Racha-Lechkhumi and Imereti.
