From 2011 until 2018 I was the production manager at the Kalchrain estate. I reorganized the organic production and from the 2013 vintage I produced natural wines according to the rules of living wines. Heard with collaborators and apprentices imprisoned in Kalchrain. In 2018 I left Kalchrain, on my 65 birthday. But instead of going into retirement, I founded my own company "Weinbau Beat Thommen" and since then I produce my natural wines in Klettgau, in collaboration with Markus Ruch, and since the 2020 vintage also in Lake Biel.
