Bastien Pointillart has been working in the vineyard for 10 years already. Based in Chamery, he inherited 1.4 ha of vines from his parents, themselves winegrowers but not winemakers. The vines are in the 8th year of organic and certified since the 2021 harvest. He has been installed under his name since 2018 but has been making wine since 2014. From 2014 to 2017 he produced small quantities of champagne (currently still on lees) and hillsides champenois that he is only releasing now. You will understand that patience and time are the mother of virtue with him. Since 2018, he has been making his cuvées literally in his garage with a small ratchet press. Today he vinifies the equivalent of 20 ares and sells the rest by the kilo to be able to finance the wood oven of his future bakery. Because in the long term he would like to settle for 40 ares of vines in order to be able at the same time to become a peasant baker and to be able to develop the cereals he produces in the form of bread.
