Terroir, quand tu nous tiens. Superbe expression du gamay d’Auvergne. Légèrement fumé, sur les fruits rouges, vibrant. À ouvrir une petite demi-heure avant les hostilités
Light pettilance dissipates after carafing. Sour cherries and slight herbs. Light and for quaffing. Delicious.
Some reduction on the nose, I love it. Fresh and crunchy 100% gamay. Strawberry, strawberry. Simple, easy to drink (too easy) 😊👍🏻
Tried new vintages 'jus de vilain' & 'jus de vin' side by side, as they are both gamay d'auvergne, made in exactly the same way, but simply from different vineyards. The first is earthier, more sqvoury & slightly musky, whilst the latter has a touch of va, which works for it, giving the wine an almost syrah style pepperiness. Smooth & elegant.
