Founded in 2022, it is run by Nora Konrad (main role: qualified winemaker) and Mathis Konrad (main role: medical physicist). We cultivate 0.7 hectares of steep slopes and terraced vineyards exclusively by hand. We deliberately do without a tractor and a car, transporting work materials and equipment with our e-bike and bicycle trailer. Although we are not yet certified, we practice organic farming. Each year, we bottle what the vineyard gives us as unadulterated as possible. The winemaking of our Chameleon wines is characterized by traditional methods: the grapes are harvested by hand, crushed and then gently pressed in a historic basket press. The must ferments in both modern stainless steel tanks and old wooden barrels. It ages on the lees for almost one year, before being bottled without filtration. With varying conditions each year, every wine is unique and may change over time - like a true chameleon.
