We have therefore rented approximately 3 hectares (at the moment - the idea is to produce at full capacity approximately 20,000 bottles, although nature will then decide: in 2023 there were approximately 14,000, for example), totally destined for the new project that we are directly managing (mixed vineyards that are not young or very old).
These are vineyards located in the highest part of Valsamoggia, the final one, where you can breathe the Apennines, at 400-500 meters above sea level and you can dominate the valley until you see San Luca, symbol of home for us Bolognese. In short, a kind of Tibet...
The final result will be complemented by small contributions from ancient and small, but very precious, vineyards managed by private "grandparents", who will become our micro suppliers.
A project to safeguard a wine environment, which has always been marginal and undervalued, where viticulture, of Roman origin, is disappearing today, after 2,000 years of history.
We decided to produce a wine from the valley, collecting some of the teachings of the great old men (Gradizzolo, Giorgio Erioli) and using only native vines, in a phase of progressive and inexorable abandonment: we also recover the planting design of old vineyards, in the phase of uprooting, to reproduce them on owned land and prolong the memory and quality over time.
The key idea is to produce two simple, everyday still wines: one white and one red, which have a popular price and which can represent this concept of home and local wine, now disappeared and destroyed by the trendy trend of natural wine.
Ours will be truly natural, just grapes and no other devilry.
No rose wines at the moment.
No orange wines at the moment.
