Our vineyards tell the story of Southern Styria’s transformation—from one of Austria’s poorest regions to a celebrated wine destination. Each parcel, planted with care over decades, reflects a history of dedication and renewal. Today, our 11 hectares form a vibrant mosaic of old and young vines, diverse varieties, and unique clone selections.
At Weingut NeueHeimat, diversity is not a concept—it’s our foundation. We cultivate every micro-parcel individually, respecting its character and potential. What unites them is a deep commitment to authenticity, sustainability, and craftsmanship.
Since 2017, we’ve farmed organically under BIO AUSTRIA guidelines, with a clear focus on reducing inputs and preserving life in all forms. In 2023, we deepened our philosophy by embracing biodynamic principles under Demeter certification. Compost, natural preparations, biodiversity zones, and a resident sheep flock help us build living soils and foster a resilient ecosystem.
Our cellar philosophy is as gentle and honest as our vineyard work: spontaneous fermentation, full malolactic conversion, no additives or fining agents, and long aging on the lees—mostly in oak. Unfiltered, unfined, and bottled with minimal sulfur.
The result: wines that are vibrant, layered, and unmistakably rooted in this place. Honest. Unrepeatable. Alive.
